Fingers crossed and thank you to all of the families that supported our application.
Presentation Evening –We were piped at the post by Langdale Care home for 1st place, but did come a close 2nd and have been given a special commendation award to mark our achievements since opening. Congratulations to all the other winners on the evening, it was a great opportunity to celebrate our 1st year in business.
Feature in Solent Life – We were delighted to be approached by Solent Life magazine, who wanted to do an article about us after reading some of our press coverage. We had a wonderful chat with the reporter David and he has become a regular visitor to our shop. It is a wonderful article which we will be proudly displaying in the shop.

Newtown Primary Careers Event – We supported a local careers event for primary school children and helped them to learn more about different industries. We were keen to play a little on gender stereotyping (not looking like your traditional ‘male’ funeral director), but Michelle was a little surprised when one of the children thought she might actually be a lollypop lady!
